About Me – Amelia Gaughan

Head of Marketing & Sales at Affordable Windows Group

Hi, I’m Amelia. I lead the marketing and sales strategy at Affordable Windows Group, where I’ve worked for most of my adult life. I started part-time in sales at 14 and joined full-time in 2014 as Sales Administrator. I moved into marketing in 2021 and became Head of Marketing in 2024. I now oversee our group’s campaigns, communications, and lead generation.

Growing up in Blackpool with two working-class parents, I learned early on the value of hard work, good manners, and staying open-minded. My dad and uncle have worked in fenestration since the 70s, so I’ve been around the trade all my life—both at home and at work. That background helps me understand both the technical and commercial sides of the window and door industry.


Industry Experience & Background

I studied Cinema and Photography at the University of Leeds, graduating with a 2:1 from the Institute of Communications. Creativity has always been a big part of how I work, and I still enjoy music and photography in my spare time.

Professionally, I focus on:

  • Long- and short-form content
  • Google Ads and Analytics
  • Email campaigns
  • Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
  • Social media planning
  • Team management

I’ve built strong product knowledge across both uPVC and aluminium, from fabrication to sales. I work closely with our internal teams and partners to develop content that’s relevant, clear, and backed by real experience.
