Timberlook in Cotswolds New Build
Strict planning guidelines dominate any new building project in the more historic parts of the UK, so a project in the heart of the Cotswolds would be subject to the most stringent of restrictions.
The higher-end developer of new-build homes, Lioncourt Homes, would be tested to source and specify a window that would meet the Planning Officer’s expectations – a design and colour that would be sympathetic to the surrounding area and its architecture. After a sample was submitted to Cotswold District Council for approval, the decision was granted to use the Timberlook Flush Sash window on the whole site at Cirencester Road, Tetbury, in two colours: Cream (RAL 9001) and Painswick (RAL 7038).
New flush sash windows, approved by planners.
…[Timberlook] UPVC units have been accepted as a variation on Condition 11, they are considered to successfully mimic traditional flush casements, and care has been taken over details such as the sill and trickle ventilation…” – Heritage Officer, Cotswold Council
